As co-owner of Pathway to Clarity, I am deeply committed to creating a space where individuals feel supported, understood, and empowered to navigate life’s challenges and move toward meaningful change. With a background in social work, counseling, and higher education, I bring decades of experience to my work. I began my career working with women in substance use recovery, which shaped my belief in resilience and the importance of meeting clients where they are. I later developed a passion for supporting individuals and families impacted by dementia, helping them navigate caregiving challenges and emotional transitions. After earning my master’s degree, I worked as a counselor in a faith-based counseling agency, where I developed a special interest in grief and loss. My approach is collaborative and tailored to each individual, creating a safe, nonjudgmental space for growth and healing. In addition to my clinical work, I serve as an Assistant Professor of Psychology and Chair of the Psychology Department, allowing me to integrate current research and evidence-based practices into my counseling.

As co-owner of Pathway to Clarity, I am passionate about creating a supportive space where individuals feel seen, heard and empowered to grow. I oversee day-to-day operations and growth of the practice. I am dedicated to ensuring that both clients and clinicians have the resources and support they need to succeed. I value leading a practice that prioritizes compassionate care, strong relationships and meaningful support for both our clients and our clinicians.

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (2005) I have been helping individuals and families find the path to healthy mental wellness. In addition to being a counselor, I am also a full time assistant professor at Trine University. This opportunity helps me to stay current with industry advancements and theoretical changes that occur often in the field. Continued education, coordination of care, and hard work ensures the clients’ well-being and growth are the main priorities at Pathway to Clarity.

Welcome! I have been a therapist since 2018 in Ohio and 2025 in Indiana. In addition to being a licensed professional clinical counselor/licensed mental health counselor I am also a chemical dependency counselor (aka drugs and alcohol). I follow a humanistic approach. I won’t just tell you what you want to hear- but I will be honest, supportive, and fully in it with you as we work through whatever you’re facing. That might be struggles with family, food, substances, trauma, or just trying to function when life feels especially heavy right now. Outside of therapy, I’m also a psychology professor. That allows me to stay knowledgeable about current treatments and trends.
